BAD NEWS DUDES

Forever Young is about to leave to go on tour with some retarded Rolling Stones tribute band the Scene really likes, so now you're stuck with me. You might notice a sharp decline in the quality of posts around here for a few days, but my links are waaay better.

Man, those JEFF boys sure know how to get our lady wet... JEFF THE BROTHERHOOD WILL BE PLAYING HEAVY DAYS IN IT'S ENTIRETY TONIGHT!! Seriously. ALL of it.

TV GHOST COAST TO COAST

These Hoosier-daddys [Get it? They're from Indiana] are wrapping up their recent tour with a stop here in our fair city at Betty's on Friday night. It's been a pretty impressive tour, too. They recently played both Pop Montreal and the WFMU Fest and have been playing shows with Wizzard Sleeve, FNU Ronnies, Thee Oh Sees, and Teenage Jesus & The Jerks. We've heard they've been blowing 'em all out of the water. Their debut LP, Cold Fish, came out in August on In The Red and it rules like most everything that they put out. Oh, and the show on Friday is with our favorite party-boaters Dude Cruz and Frosty. We can't really think of a better Friday night.... unless there's another Infinity Cat night.

You can pick up their LP right here, and you can try at die Stasi for past 7"s.
Ay yi yi babies, we are still so sore from the other night. But it was totally worth it. We've got some photos that we're going to try and get up today [Don't be upset if they're not though. We already took them to get developed once but the developers got at our goats with their shoddy workmanship. It's what we get for using film I guess.] Lots of good shows this week for you, including the Heavy Days release show. THE HEAVY DAYS RELEASE SHOW.

NB-END

What a show. Last night's Infinity Cat Records showcase was the best show we've seen this year [That's saying alot, we've been to a ton of shows this year] We'll have a full onslaught of goods for you tomorrow documenting the chaos that was last night. If you were there, you know what we're talking about. I mean, I did 4 stage dives during "Dogbite" alone [And that song is only like 1:30 long] If you're not too hungover or in the hospital, go to Little Hamilton tonight to catch Atlanta's Coathangers, it's gonna be a party. What a show.

Thanks Infinity Cat.

CHRISTMAS ISLAND

A couple years ago our buddy Nathan Vasquez showed us this really rad band from San Diego and we've been listening to them non-stop since then. Christmas Island are a two piece [but Chris steps in for the live band] that make some great jangly beach jams. But don't be tricked, Brian's words could break your little heart. We were lucky enough to finally catch them this past SXSW since they rarely ever leave the West Coast. We're working on fixing that though. They've put out a couple of 7"s, most recently the "Nineteen" single on Captured Tracks and their debut full-length, Blackout Summer, just came out on In The Red. And is that not the best band-logo ever?

The babes have a couple other releases slated for the near future with Sacred Bones and Woodsist. Alright guys, put out releases with Infinity Cat, Rob's House, and Marriage and you'll have officially hit all our faves. Pick up their goodies here.
